I’ve been blogging inconsistently for years. I love my other blog…the one of the same title hosted on Blogger, but I have some constraints there. It’s the blog I’ve invited all of my friends and family to read. It’s also the blog that is read by my exes and their significant others. That knowledge, that they are there, reading my words, my thoughts…it really restricts what I have to say. I cannot, for instance, call my daughter’s father a giant wanker and his wife a soul-sucking cunt. Even when they are doing things that justify those titles, I refrain because I have learned that what is written there can and will be used against me. And I wouldn’t necessarily care, except that they are there by invitation. At one point, many years ago, during a brief friendly spell, I invited them to read my blog.
Last night, Curvacious Dee, a blogger I adore, posted an appeal on Twitter to break 100 followers here on Tumblr. I joined Tumblr purely for that reason, and really had no intention of actually using this account beyond maybe posting some more pics of the uber yummy April Flores.
But my first thought this morning when I woke up, was…”Hey, dumbass…use the new blog for all the shit you can’t say in the other blog” Meaning…talk about sex, talk about the break ups, the bullshit your exes put you through. Post pictures of men and women you’d have sex with, talk about your new toy acquisitions, about your frustrations in finding partners in your small, conservative town. All that shit that you don’t post on your regular blog, but that you think about all the time…post it here.
So, that’s what this space will be. Images that speak to me sexually, or personally, that I can’t share on my other blog…Text posts that I would never dream of putting on the other blog…all that shit will wind up here, rather than just tumbling around in my overcrowded, neurotic brain.
